Dr. Svetlana Stryuts, MD, CCFP

I am of mixed Russian-Ukrainian origin. I finished Medical Academy back in St.-Petersburg, Russia. I also did  1 year of Internal Medicine residency in the same Academy when immigration to Canada interrupted my plans. When I came to Canada I had to do multiple exams to compete for the place in residency. My choice fell on Family Medicine because by that time I developed passion for comprehensive medicine and holistic approach to my patients' problems. I finished residency in McMaster University. After completion of the program, I did multiple locums around Hamilton area  but eventually settled in Brighton, Ontario.
